"Elastic panty hose are modified to have a shallow notch in the toe portion for accepting the thong of a thong style sandal or shoe. When the foot and panty hose are inserted into the thong style sandal or shoe, the notch is stretched thereby smoothing the contour of the panty hose around the toes."
Karyn Cortani received her patent a year ago but has just started selling her product at a website, Tohos.com and they look quite attractive.
Apparently, Berkshire came up with a similar product in it's toeless Ultra Sheer Control Top PantyHose using a different approach. However, when you're trying to achieve a casual look, one would wonder if battling with a control top could be the route to casualness?
One warning ... do not look for toeless pantyhose using a search engine unless you're prepared for some very ... ahem, tasteless sites.
